8 Months Old!
I can't believe I forgot to include the 8 month blog. We have just had so much going on lately and I had so many blogs to post. No excuses! I just opened the folder with all the recent photos and saw the 8 month ones...I was like, what? I haven't shared the 8 month photos? Jeez mom!
Anyway, at 8 months, Foster is eating well, sleeping very well (8pm-8am and two 1.5 to 2 hour naps). I have grown to despise

Warning...Foster is on the move!
Well...the days of laying Foster on the ground and doing dishes or running into the other room to get something are over! He is officially on the move.
For the last few weeks, he has been up on his hands and knees and "rocking" back and forth. He occasional would move backwards a foot or two, but then get frustrated when he was headed backward instead of forward. I believe that attending Alexa Kennedy's birthday party at the bowling alley on Saturday and seeing all the big kids so mobile and having such fun, truly inspired our little guy to spread his wings and take off! We literally came home and put him on the floor to have a few minutes of playtime prior to naptime. Welli's bone, which is an actual femur bone from a cow, was on the floor (gross!). Apparently it has true magnetism because Foster spotted it and crawled to it without any hesitation. As if he had always been crawling. Daniel and I both looked at each other as if to say, "Is this really happening? Our little man is crawling?"
Since Saturday, he has been crawling even further and has started truly pulling up on furniture. He is also very close to getting from his stomach to a sitting position! We are clearly proud parents, but I was not eager for the stationary to become to mover! Oh well, maybe this transition will help me lose those darn 10 lbs!

Run over the Bridge...Don't Jump Off It...
This was the advice my sister sent to me the morning of the Gate River Run. And you know...had the Hart bridge come at the middle of the run instead of at the end...I totally would have considered jumping. The middle was definitely the most painful. Daniel had run the 9.3 mile race before, but I had always taken the easy way out and run the 5k. This year with baby weight to lose I needed a goal. Hence, the 15k. I ran the race in 1 hour and 33 minutes, and Daniel ran it in a ridiculous gazelle like pace of 1 hour and 10 minutes. He is insane! We trained for 10 weeks prior to the race, so we were both satisfied with our times. Daniel improved his time by 4 minutes. With proves that as we get older...we actually can get faster! Who knew?
As for Foster, he stayed home with his Nana who came to visit for the weekend to help us with the babysitting. He was a perfect angel for her...no surprise. He seems to only show himself for me. I guess that is a good thing which promotes less embarrassment in public. We have officially dropped the evening catnap and some days...we become the ULTIMATE entertainers...whoopee!
Anyway, I am glad the weekend is over with. I don't know that I will ever run it again. We will see how I am faring next year. As for the baby weight...I am almost there. Almost all my dresses fit or are so close to fitting. But man...those darn shorts! My once slim hips certainly are much more of what you would call "birthin' hips" these days! I can get into all of my shorts-just wouldn't wear them all out in public...know what I mean? Oh well...more dieting and exercise for me. I AM NOT buying another whole wardrobe. Those who know me well, know that would be absurd! Plus...I LOVE my clothes!

My Sister and me...Live by the sea...
We have no intention of moving...My sister and me...
The short story behind the post title is simply this...
Jaime and I have always sung the ridiculous song lyrics above. We have no idea where it came from or who taught it to us, but we have known it forever, and as little kids we would perform The Bozo Show every summer for our parents and grandparents and act like fools, dancing around in our underwear and bathrobes and singing!
Anyway, Jaime made a trip down to Fernandina Beach for a night and helped me switch my wardrobe and of course it was an excuse to hang out with her little nephew...cutest boy in the world! We all went on a lunch date which Auntie treated us to...Thank you Auntie Meme!
