We hope this will be only one of many trips we will take the Charleston during the course of Foster's life. However, this past weekend we joined family and friends to celebrate the Baptism of our little man. He was baptized at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church by Father David Williams...in the same church and by the same man who married us 6 years ago. How time flies when you are having fun. Doing things like being moved around by the Navy, walking dogs, and changing poopy diapers!
These past 6 years have been the best of our lives and that is really saying a lot, because we have had really great lives! We would like to thank everyone who spent the weekend with us, because we know it was chillier than expected. It never fails. The only weekend we seem to be able to get everyone together just happens to be the coldest of the entire year! Wouldn't you know that we have temps expected in the mid 70s this week? Typical! So...thanks to all the troopers who stuck it out and made it a fabulous getaway weekend despite the nippy and ridiculously bone-chilling wind!
We send a special thank you to the Indigo Inn...best place to stay in Charleston and to my dad who set up the fabulous rate for the weekend!
As for the Baptism, it went smoothly, although Foster was a bit fussy. The always happy baby did turn it on when he needed to, but with a short afternoon nap, which it usually a good 1.5 hours, Foster's little fussy is most baby's norm! He is just like his dad...happy, content, and smiling just about 99 percent of the time!
We did get to visit with Lori Russell and her sweet little boy, Russ. We hadn't yet met Russ, so it was exciting to see he and Foster together. They were so cute reaching out to one another and just grinning and giggling...adorable! We look forward to many more moments with the boys together.
We sure do miss Charleston! Remains our favorite city in the world, regardless of its sentimental value! If you have never been, or it has been a while since you smelled the stench of horse poo down Market Street, your time has come!
