Yesterday marked Foster's 9 month birthday. I simply cannot believe that he is already 9 months old. Time really does fly by, just as everyone said it would. Next thing you know he'll be asking me to drop him off at the movies from a block away!
As a 9 month old, he is so sweet and so happy. Everywhere we go people comment on his sweet demeanor and how relaxed he is..
.just like his dad! His smile is AMAZING! He loves to flirt with all the ladies, especially the young and pretty ones!
He sleeps well most days from 8pm to 8am with two daytime naps...usually from 10-noon and again from 2:30-4. It is great! He takes 4 meals a day that include formula and many new solid foods. This month we tried bagels, grapes, pears, green beans, pita bread, and white grape juice. I am slowly trying to get rid of the jars of baby food. His one tooth and strong jaws are definitely getting the idea of eating "real" food.
As for playtime, he spends about 30 minutes a day in his pack-n-play doing individual playtime, and about 25 minutes a day doing blanket time. These activities usually occur in the morning, when he most well-rested. But, I am not super regimented. As long as we get it in for the day, fine by me. He is crawling all over the place, and appears to be obsessed with anything "dog." Dog bones, dog toys, dog bowls. IT is completely disgusting and I spend the majority of the day saying, "That's a No!" or removing the dog items. He also loves to hold your fingers and walk all over the place. At his pace, he'll make an excellent sprinter! He has pulled up a few times on the furniture and we are not too far from doing it in the crib, so Daniel has lowered the crib to the lowest setting. Thanks Dad!
Daniel still does Tubby Time with Foster most nights, and normally reads his stories to him before bedtime. No rocking required for this babe. He goes down so easily and sleeps like a log! However, in this past week we have had several nights in which Foster has had a "Party in his crib" at 3 am. He isn't fussy. He simply wakes and plays for an hour! As cute as it may seem to see him twirling his"lovie" about the crib and mumbling his new babbles, by 4 am when he is still doing it, I am completely over it! I hope this phase phases itself out soon. But, at least it doesn't happen EVERY night!
Tooth number two appears to be making an appearance soon, but right now he is so cute with just the one little scraggly tooth when he smiles!
All in all, 9 months has been good. Looking forward to losing some more of this baby weight as I chase him all over the house and yard!
