On the Road Again...

Just can't wait to get on the road again...can't wait to listen to the fussing and the whining...

Well, actually, Foster is a pretty good traveler.  OR maybe his mom is just that smart?
I am not sure.  March 29th, Foster and I headed to Atlanta for a short layover on our adventure back to CT to see the Allens and some of my Yankee relations.  The car ride was pretty good.
Attention all parents of young children...
BE sure your child is well fed and a little worn out before entering the car for ride longer than 45 minutes.  I have learned that as Foster gets older, he needs more time to "run around" before settling down for a car ride.

Therefore, I feed him, change him, give him 45 minutes or so to crawl around and play and then throw him in the car and we are off.  He will play for 30-45 minutes and then sleep for about 2 hours.  If the car trip was three hours or less...SET!  All is good.  It is after that next feeding when Foster was strapped back into his carseat that the true unhappiness set in.  All in all, we did make it to Atlanta...and flew out the next day with Mama Jill to CT.

Foster was such a hit on the plane, winning the heart of the stewardess, who carried him off the plane upon arrival at Bradley calling him her boyfriend and the happiest, smiliest baby she had ever encountered...quite the compliment for me! (Thank you Babywise!)

Mama Jill drove us to the Allens house to stay with our friends, Mark, Sondra, and Harper for the week.  IT was so fun seeing the boys together...chatting like babies do, and Harper was so good to share his toys with Foster!  We can't wait for them to visit us in Fernandina, so we can enjoy the warm weather and the beach!

I also had my 32nd birthday while I was in CT.  Mom, Sondra, and Jesse took me out to Azu in Mystic.  We enjoyed good wine, great food, and fabulous conversation.  It was calm and relaxing.  Thank you for making 32 a little less painful!
