On the Catwalk, Yeah!

Okay, so I know that all moms truly believe that their children are the cutest in the world, but I ask you...look at the photos below and then try to convince me that Foster isn't the cutest baby EVER!!! I believe that as his parents we are responsible for Foster's success in life. Why not start off his career as a baby model?

Sunday, we had Brianna Westfall, a local photographer, come to the house and take some photos of Foster. He was a great model, especially given the fact that he was due for a nap when she arrived. She snapped a few shots outside, using the afternoon sun and then many in his nursery. He was not the smiley guy he is in the mornings, but I am completely blown away with some of the pictures she was able to get.

Of course I was not expecting to be in any photographs, as we are awaiting Daniel's return for the family photos. So, when I was asked to be in a photo or two, I was not very happy. (You all who really know me know just how much I love having my picture taken-especially these days!) However, I was a trooper and agreed to do a few.

Man he is stinkin' cute!!!

2 Months Old...

Today is Foster's 2 month birthday. I can't believe how quickly the days are flying by. Unfortunately I feel like I am wishing away these sweet moments of infancy because the sooner they go by the sooner Daniel will be home. We all know that I am a strong, independent woman, but even this rock chips occasionally.

I was thinking about our situation today when I was sucked into some crappy TV. The show is "Baby's First Day." Apparently I am a cutter, because I didn't change the channel when some young thing was being taped having her baby with her husband in Navy Bootcamp. She was an emotional wreck because he was missing the birth and was going to miss the first 8 weeks. 8 weeks? Are you kidding me? Try the last 2 months of pregnancy and the first 5 months. I caught myself talking to the TV (that's what happens when you become a "stay at home" mom!). I was saying things like," you think that is bad honey? Just wait. He is in the military, what did you honestly expect? Suck it up- things will be getting much worse that this!" I am a terrible person!

Anyway, back to Foster, since it is his big day...

He was 12 lbs and 4 oz. in the 50th percentile for weight and 23 inches long which put him in the 59thpercentile for height. Everything looked great and Dr. West was even impressed with his amazing head control. Unfortunately he received many shots and came home with a slight fever. He had a rough day feeling poorly, but hopefully it will be shortlived. Could be a rough night for mom! Or maybe he will give mom a birthday present and actually sleep more than 6 hours! You can do it Foster!

Like Mother, Like Son...

After seeing a few of my baby pictures, I have realized that Foster is me from the nose up. There is no doubt that he is my son. Of course, he definitely has Daniel's legs, lips, and eyelashes. Unfortunately, he is doomed to have issues with his hair as both of his parents have terrible cowlicks! Poor guy...

Foster's First Road Trip

Labor Day weekend, Mama Jill and I took Foster to Savannah to celebrate Auntie Meme's birthday a few days early. He was the most perfect angel on the way down and back, sleeping in the car most of the way. He experienced the waterfront in Savannah and spent some time meeting Jaime's cats (from a far of course). Dad missed out lunch out, but made it just in time for cake-

Great Day! WE will be back again soon...

More Cute Pics!

Just had to add a few more pictures of our cutie pie! God- I have turned into that woman I hate!

Playgym Pizzaz

Mom has been here for the past 2 weeks and we have had so much fun. We have taken an outing almost everyday including lunch and errands. Foster has experienced some of our favorite eats, including Tijuana Flats, Maggianos (for lunch of course- not an appropriate location for young children at dinner!), and The Loop. He has also been broken in with 2 trips to the NEX (Navy Exchange) and the Commisary. We also spent some time at St. John's Town Center where I spent a ridiculous amount of money at Babies R Us! The most exciting item I purchased was the playgym in the picture below. I laughed at them as I was registering- so sure they would over stimulate any baby. However, after a visit with a friend who also has a brand new baby where Fsoter spent 30 minutes laying in her son's playgym and having such a positive reaction (smiling, cooing, staring into the mirror, ect...) I broke down and bought one! Foster loves it- well worth the money! Who knew?

One Month Old- August 15th

I am adding this blog a bit late, but I wanted to be sure to add this picture to the blog. It was taken on the 15th of July. I will take one each month next to "Andy" to show what amazing growth Foster will make over the next year. I know it has been done before, but I am never for reinventing the wheel. It's such a cute idea, so I am apparently a thief. Oh well!
