I'm a Big Boy Now!

Well, we have finally arrived!  Foster officially sits in the cart at the store.  Thank you Target for breaking us in!  I did order one of those fluffy seat covers, but it is not in yet, and since F has graduated to the Big Boy carseat (his 20 lbs. self), I have no way other than carrying him around to shop.  Are you kidding me?  I break a sweat just getting him from the car to the store door!  He is a solid little guy- like his mom!   So, I thought...he sits really well...why not give the cart a try.  AND...SUCCESS!  He was so cute and excited- holding on for dear life but smiling the whole trip.  How cute is our little man?

7th Month Itch

I can't believe our munchkin is 7 months old today.  He is truly such a little man.  He is able to sit independently for extended periods of time and spends at least 45 min to an hour playing independently each morning.  He loves to watch both Welli and Chloe chase and retrieve their toys and sometimes we find him laughing hysterically at them.  His sides, neck, and armpits are very ticklish, and after Tubby Time each night his dad has him grinning ear to ear and giggling uncontrollably with a little beard rubbing and "munching" down his little belly...well it isn't so little any more.

We find him to be a very solid boy.  Not too much chunk on him...just solid like his mama!  Looks like we may have that quarterback afterall! Those cheeks are just so darn kissable and his dimple could "cure cancer" as his Aunt Meme likes to say.  He is not yet crawling, but loves to stand up while holding onto things and can do so for quite a long time.  This kid may walk before he crawls.  He has a very laid back personality like his dad, but gets excited about the important things in life, his food!  He is a great eater.  He drinks between 24-30 oz. of formula a day and eats between 5-7 containers of baby food and cereal!  He has just about mastered the sippy cup that has a training straw- best invention ever!

"Look what you did, You little Jerk!"

Yeah, I knew that title would draw you in for sure.  However, it has nothing to do with my post.  I am actually writing about the introduction of "The Playdate" into our lives.  Now as many already know, the playdate is really not for the kids.  It is for the moms, and to be 100 percent PC, as we all know I always am...pause for reaction...the dads too.  All in all it is a chance for moms to get together and chat about what moms most often chat about...their kids.  It is also a way for stay at home moms to have adult conversation and interaction, regardless of the topic!  OF course, I guess the playdate could result in the quote used as the title for this piece, but hopefully not!

Foster's First Trip to Charleston

We hope this will be only one of many trips we will take the Charleston during the course of Foster's life.  However, this past weekend we joined family and friends to celebrate the Baptism of our little man.  He was baptized at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church by Father David Williams...in the same church and by the same man who married us 6 years ago.  How time flies when you are having fun.  Doing things like being moved around by the Navy, walking dogs, and changing poopy diapers!
